GREEN CITIES + ARCHITECTURE ltd is an interdisciplinary design studio that integrates urban design, architecture, interior design and visual arts.

Based in London, GCA was established in May 2011 by founder and principal architect Rene Chana.

Our aim is to design beautiful cities and buildings that focus on art, local cultures, human welfare and consideration of environmental and ecological impact. Promote development that is carbon neutral, eco-friendly, sustainable and in balance with nature in order to create a better place for its inhabitants now and for future generations.

Sustainability is not just about the materials or energy we consume but it is also about how we live and what we use. It is a complete change in lifestyle.

At GCA we understand that sustainability is not separate from design. We incorporate passive design to include building orientation, air flow, natural heat and cooling, solar, shading, energy efficiency optimization, recycled materials and encourage the use of local materials. As designers we have a professional responsibility to help improve lifestyles while taking great consideration to protect the environment or depleting natural resources and in doing so support the long term ecological balance.
