Below £100k to over £5m

Foster Lomas is a young, innovative design led practice that has been operating for 5 years since its formation by William Foster and Greg Lomas. The office has built up a wide portfolio of work including private residential, housing, arts and commercial projects. The practice works on projects of varying scales and budgets, a mixture of new build and refurbishment projects, located not only in London and the UK but also in Namibia, Italy, Russia and Indonesia.

The office possesses varied experience in other fields of design and these skills are frequently used to produce bespoke design solutions. This detailed approach together with a focus on the project context and materiality imbues designs with definition and meaning. The exploration of materials, colour and light play a pivotal role in the development of projects and is often allied to collaboration with crafts people and artisans.

The practice has been featured in many publications and notably was recognised in 2005 by Wallpaper Magazine as one of the 25 most innovative architectural practices and was featured in ID magazine’s 250 people of the future. In 2009 the practice was long listed for Young Architect of the Year.
